Why You Should Read Your Bible: 10 Great Reasons

When it comes to our relationship with God, there are a few things that we should always make time for.

1.  The bible is God's Word.

It was written by men, but it was inspired by God. He used men to write down His thoughts and instructions for us. Paul writes that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God …” 2 Timothy 3:16. The bible is our guidebook for life. It tells us how to live, how to deal with difficult situations, and how to have a relationship with God. We need to read it every day so that we can learn what God wants us to do.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

The bible doesn’t just teach us about Christianity - it also teaches us about other religions. It tells us why people believe in other gods, and it helps us understand their beliefs better.

“He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and unrighteous." Matthew 5:45.
